Adam Fine - Fathom Studio
Bio: Adam is a dynamic planner whose expertise lies in the often-overlooked realm of signage. With an unwavering commitment to enhancing public spaces and rights-of-way, Adam's passion for creating impactful signage solutions has transformed numerous environments. 
Talk: Fort Needham Park, in Halifax's Hydrostone neighbourhood, commemorates the 1917 Halifax Explosion. The story is revealed mysteriously and gradually without interpretive panels. Instead, words and details were worked into pavers, park benches, stair rails, and metal edges. Fathom Studio's director of experiential graphic design Adam Fine will talk about the integration of graphic design, landscape architecture, and interpretive planning that made it possible.

Shannon Long
Bio: Shannon is a playful artist who creates colorful and quirky pieces inspired by the worlds of nerd, pop, and queer culture.
Her vibrant artwork celebrates the joy of loving who and what you love unapologetically, blending inclusivity and individuality with fun cartoony imagery.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she uses her art to foster connections within the community, spark smiles and brighten days.
Talk: Shannon has over 12 years of experience as a video game artist, a career she left behind for a more fulfilling career as a freelancer. She will discuss the perks of expanding your artistic focus and becoming a jack-of-all-trades.

Aidan Searle RGD - Hood+Searle/ASADC
Bio: Aidan is a Dartmouth, NS-based Certified Registered Graphic Designer (RGD), multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur. He enjoys blurring the line between art and design and using the human hand to craft unique brand experiences.
Talk: Aidan will discuss the process of creating design assets by hand. He will talk about collage, hand-lettering, illustration techniques and how to digitize assets so they work on screens while retaining the soul of the human hand that made them..
