Project: MADEGOOD® Packaging Alignment + Redesign for the Riverside Natural Foods
MADEGOOD®’s refreshed packaging brings consistency, playfulness, and clarity across their entire lineup—from bars to bites to cereal. By uniting bold colours, fun imagery, and a strong wordmark, the redesign strengthens shelf presence while deepening consumer trust and connection. It’s a look that delights, engages, and delivers results for better-for-you snacking.

Project: Annex Ale Project — Small Batch Label System
Annex Ale Project is a beloved craft brewery based in Calgary, Alberta. It was vital that Annex had a scalable, easy-to-produce label system that could make an impact while still speaking to the individual characteristics of each beer.

These small-batch release labels have a visual style that feels fleeting, reflective of the ‘once it’s gone, it’s gone’ nature of the beer. Flavour characteristics come through in individual elements of colour, line style, and placement. We embrace white space to represent a breath — a pause to cut through the ever-growing saturation of the craft beer market. Minimal line work, with a rough, hand-done style inspired by block printing, is used to represent the experience of drinking the beer — from a deep base flavour to pops of sour, to a refreshingly easy-drinking NEPA.
I'll check in nearer the time, thanks for the opportunity!

Project: DeeBee's – Brand Development
At ZAK, Zia led the strategic and creative direction behind DeeBee’s Organics’ brand refresh, helping modernize a beloved freezer pop brand without losing its core brand recognition. Guiding the client through discovery, strategy, and design, Zia and his team shaped a new visual and verbal identity rooted in “celebrating the magic of what treats can be.” The result is a bright, future-ready system that empowered the internal team to confidently launch new products and evolve the brand with clarity.

hobson strategy | design

With nearly 25 years of experience in branding, website design, and CPG design, I bring a multi-disciplined approach shaped by both agency life and entrepreneurial leadership. I've worked alongside talented teams in creative studios and in-house at a major Canadian retailer—formative years that taught me the value of collaboration and strategic thinking. For the past 15 years, I’ve run my own studio. I support founders and growing brands by delivering solutions that are both creative and results-driven. I carry a team-oriented spirit into each client relationship, working side-by-side to bring ideas to life and achieve shared goals.
