Focus on Benefits: Getting your message out on RGD channels
Written by Ruth Farrugia RGD, City of Côte Saint-LucThe RGD Membership has its privileges! As co-chair of the Membership Committee, I want to share some of the amazing resources and benefits that Membership provides and encourage all RGD Members to take advantage of them. If you’re not an RGD Member yet, now’s the time to join!
The current signal-to-noise ratio across various media makes it a challenge to get your message through to the people you want to reach. There’s a resource to help you! RGD members can use the RGD’s various communication channels like the RGD website, the RGD Word email newsletter and their social media channels, to reach a design-oriented audience measuring in the tens of thousands.
Do you have a new service you’re offering? Did you just win an award? Are you hosting a special event? You can reach more people by amplifying your news through the RGD’s channels.

“We’ve had a great experience using RGD channels like the website and RGD newsletters to get the word out about Pivot—hiring or for our DesignMeets event community. It’s a highly targeted way to reach other design-minded people who understand our space. For any studio, agency or designer looking to connect with a like-minded, values-driven audience, RGD's channels are a very effective method that doesn’t feel like shouting into the void.”

Certified RGDs are also able to direct message the RGD's Instagram and LinkedIn accounts if you’d like a post of yours—whether it be a project announcement, exciting milestone or thought leadership—to be considered for sharing on their feeds. Be sure to include a brief note in your message, and a member of the RGD communications team will reply to let you know if it's a good fit. If you’re interested in doing a more collaborative post on a project, like this IG post on a rebrand by Good Company, fill out the project showcase form and indicate you're interested in providing video content.
Sharing is caring! Get your message out to a larger audience by taking advantage of this valuable resource available to RGD members.
