Adele Bisaillon RGD selected to design RGD Certification Sticker for 2027
Adele Bisaillon RGD's Sticker design will be distributed to Certified RGD Members to be added to their RGD Certificates upon payment of their dues in 2027, representing another year of commitment to professional standards, ethical conduct and industry best practices.
"Being selected to design the 2027 RGD Certification Sticker is such an honour. When I found out, I was incredibly excited and proud and, if I’m being completely transparent, a little intimidated! There’s something both thrilling and terrifying about creating something that will be seen by thousands of fellow designers whose work and perspectives I respect.
Becoming an RGD was something I wanted for a long time. Like many designers, finding the time to invest in myself and complete the Certification Process took a while, but it was important to me. The designation represents credibility and professionalism, but it also represents something much bigger: community, ethics, continued learning and the opportunity to stand alongside and learn from other creatives in our profession.
As a designer who has built my career in Yellowknife, being selected feels especially meaningful. There is an incredible creative community in the North, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to bring a little piece of where I come from to the broader Canadian design community.
My process is rooted in strategy, research and storytelling. I spend a lot of time thinking before I start designing, asking questions, researching, sketching and trying to get to the essence of what needs to be communicated. I’ve always seen designers as visual communicators first, and that thinking has guided me throughout this process.
More than anything, being selected makes me feel seen by a community that I deeply respect. To create something for my fellow RGDs and eventually see it out in the wild alongside the work of the incredible designers who came before me is pretty special. I can’t wait to share it.” — Adele Bisaillon RGD
