Kelly Small RGD
Kelly Small is the founder of Intents & Purposes, author of The Conscious Creative, and an award-winning creative director with more than 20 years leading branding, campaigns, and communications for organizations including CARE Canada, Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam, Plan International Canada, The Body Shop, World Animal Protection, and World Vision.
After beginning their career in commercial advertising, Kelly founded Intents & Purposes to bring the same strategic rigour and creative ambition to purpose-driven organizations while championing a more responsible approach to creative practice.
Their research into ethics and responsible practice earned the Governor General’s Gold Medal following completion of a Master of Design at Emily Carr University. Kelly has served as a juror for The One Club, the Marketing Awards, and RGD, and has contributed as a design educator, researcher, mentor, and speaker.
