The Accessible Design Education Development Grant, funded by Context Creative, was created in honour of the company's founders, Lionel Gadoury RGD Emeritus and Catherine Jevons RGD Emeritus, and reflects their long-standing commitment to accessible design and the advancement of inclusive design education.
As accessibility moves from a specialized concern to a baseline expectation across our profession, this grant is intended to help Members deepen the knowledge and skills needed to design for everyone. The grant provides up to $1,500 for tuition, materials, travel or other costs associated with continuing education in the area of accessible design.
Eligibility criteria
- To apply, you must be a Certified RGD, Affiliate or Associate Member in good standing. Review the benefits of RGD Membership.
- Proof of acceptance or enrolment in an eligible program may be required to receive the grant.
- Grant value: Up to $1,500
- Deadline to apply: 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Sunday, June 29, 2026

Post-award report
Recipients will be asked to complete a short reflective report (approx. 300–500 words) within 60 days of completing the funded program, describing what they learned and how they plan to apply it in their practice. With the recipient's permission, this report may be shared in RGD communications.
