The RGD introduces new Virtual Community for design educators

The Virtual Community for Design Educators is an opportunity for those teaching design at the post-secondary level to connect, collaborate and share experiences.

As design education—and the industry at large—continues to evolve, this community provides educators a forum to discuss what’s needed to prepare the next generation of designers. It is a supportive community offering an exchange ideas, sharing of challenges and successes and discussions of  new experiences and reoccurring trends in design education.

Members of this community will have access to a dedicated Slack channel where relevant articles, discussion topics and timely “in the news” items can be shared. Virtual meetings will take place approximately every six weeks, with prompts and topics published in advance to help guide conversation and maximize engagement.

To sign up for either of this new Virtual Community or any of the others, including those for Firm Owners, UX Managers & Senior DesignersMunicipal Designers, Newcomers to Canada, Illustrators, In-house Design Managers, Solo Designers, Experiential Graphic Designers, BIPOC Designers Virtual Community, Post-Secondary Designers Virtual Community and 2SLGBTQIA+ Designers, complete this online application form.

If none of these Virtual Communities speaks to your background or interests, there's also the opportunity to lead a new one!

Virtual Communities are open to Certified RGD, Associate RGD and Affiliate Members.
