Co-Founders of Herschel Supply Co. named DesignThinkers of the Year for 2019
Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, Co-Founders of Herschel Supply Co., are our DesignThinkers of the Year for Western Canada in 2019.
The DesignThinker of the Year Award is given annually to Canadian corporate leaders who have incorporated design into their organizations to achieve business objectives and drive innovation.
Headquartered in Vancouver, Herschel Supply is a design-driven global lifestyle brand that produces timeless products with utility design. Founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, Herschel Supply originally was renowned for their contemporary renditions of classic backpack silhouettes, but their range has since expanded to include luggage, headwear, accessories, apparel and more.
"Design is everything to Herschel," explains Jamie, the eldest of the two co-founding brothers. "It permeates every single aspect of the brand from product innovation to consumer experience. We’re thrilled to be recognized as DesignThinkers of the Year among so many other talented peers in the industry."
The Award was presented on Tuesday, May 28 as part of RGD's DesignThinkers Conference at the Vancouver Playhouse, in the presence of 700+ professionals and students from the creative industry. Jamie participated in an on stage "In Conversation" with Anicka Quin, Editorial Director at Western Living and Vancouver Magazines, discussing how design has shaped Herschel Supply and helped grow the business.
