Twin Studio Unveils the branding vision for the 2026 Student Awards Identity
The visual identity for the 2026 RGD Student Awards, Bring the Heat, is bold, high-energy and unapologetic. It leans into motion, contrast and flame-inspired colour to reflect fearless creativity while keeping the messaging clear and benefit-driven.
The goal is to inspire more students to enter and to position the awards as a meaningful career opportunity without making the experience feel rigid or corporate. By pairing gritty visuals with confident, direct language such as No fee. No fear., the design captures attention and reduces hesitation. It celebrates risk, which is central to the spirit of the Student Awards.
“I hope they feel a spark. I want students to see the campaign and think, “Why not me?” More than anything, I hope it gives them permission to show what they have got without second-guessing themselves. The work does not need to be perfect. It needs to be brave. If the design helps even a few students push submit instead of holding back, it has done its job.”

We asked the Twin Studio team what they are most excited about as the project moves forward.
"I am excited to see the identity out in the world. It was fun building the system and exploring how the visuals move, stretch and adapt across different formats. Watching it roll out through the RGD website, emails and social channels is going to be a highlight.
A flexible identity only proves itself once it starts living, and this one was built to move." says Lin Oosterhoff RGD, Creative Director at Twin Studio.
Unexpected lessons or outcomes during the development of the project
"The biggest surprise came at the concept stage. I genuinely thought this direction might feel a bit too dark or gritty for the Student Awards, but it was a unanimous favourite. That moment reinforced the whole idea behind the concept. The message is about showing your fire and not being afraid to put bold work forward. Turns out I had to take my own advice."
Favourite design details
"The background graphic is my favourite piece of the system. It works beautifully in motion, but it is just as strong in static applications. The way the bright and dark tones blend together with added texture gives it depth that holds up close and from a distance. It feels alive, which is exactly what we wanted." shares Lin Oosterhoff RGD, Creative Director at Twin Studio.
