Known for her passion for taking on initiatives that blend cultural awareness, humanity and a love of art to advance society and business alike, Vanessa’s experiences living and working in Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City and Toronto, have given blok design a unique international perspective that has been recognized and awarded around the world. Her experience includes top global brands such as Nike, Pepsi, Nestle, and the Museum of Modern Art Miami, among others. She is a member of The Brookfield Sustainability Institute’s League of Innovators & Scholars and a newly inducted fellow of The Canadian Academy of Arts. She has served as D&AD’s Design Jury President in London, Co-Chair of The Marketing Awards, and juror for Cannes Lions among many others.

El Zanjón

El Zanjón is one of Argentina’s most significant archaeological sites, painstakingly restored over the past 38 years by Jorge Eckstein. We designed an identity system, digital experience and created content that captures El Zanjón’s distinctive architecture, landmark buildings and hidden labyrinth of vaulted brick tunnels.

Influenced by the layers of materiality to its full visual language, we created an identity that weaves together history and a unique sense of place. The logo itself is inspired by the language of cross-stitching and its connection to Prince Edward County’s heritage.

The identity with its bold soulful visual language alludes to the company’s poetic intent. A physical and digital publication, LAT Magazine is the means by which we connect many perspectives, cultures, stigmas and non-stigmas in a conversation that emanates from cannabis and extends to our everyday life. An initiative of 48North, LAT creates a tangible and porous space to have ongoing dialogues about relevant issues of our time.
