Sonus attracts art and music enthusiasts who are drawn to abstract work, including students, academics, sound engineers, electronic music fans and media artists. This audience seeks emotional release, sensory immersion and creative inspiration, valuing curiosity and experimentation over convention. Sonus is a conceptual brand created to celebrate experimental sound as an immersive and emotional experience.

The design challenge was to translate sound’s intangible, spatial qualities into a brand system that could live across print and digital applications while resonating globally. Drawing from avant-garde movements like Fluxus and Dadaism, as well as science fiction’s cultural commentary, the identity centres on an amorphous orb symbolizing sound’s paradoxical nature: invisible yet impactful. The logo references sound waves and echoes. A black-and-white palette anchors the system, with event collateral introducing colours inspired by each artist’s work. The website functions as both promotional and experiential, extending a coherent yet fluid identity across mediums.
