MISTER PIO is a Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, with a deep commitment to authentic, high-quality cuisine in a casual setting. Birds are seasoned with a 22-spice rub, marinated for 48 hours and traditionally cooked over a charcoal and wood fire. The owners partnered with Toronto-based creative agency Trew Knowledge to craft a brand that feels modern while playfully connecting to its Peruvian heritage. Conceptualization for Mister Pio began with a dive into Peruvian culinary culture, its ingredients and traditions in cooking.

The final logo was inspired by a child’s drawing of a chicken, paired with a lively wordmark to express a free personality. This attitude was used to inform a full brand identity system, including stationery, packaging and merch, as well as a website. Each piece reflects Mister Pio’s genuine, joyful spirit. The website extends the brand with vibrant visuals, personal touches and a loose, expressive layout that highlights its Peruvian soul.
