Grace believes in the power of human-centred design to cultivate positive change in people, systems and society. Grace’s experience includes leading global teams of industrial designers, UX and technical designers, artists and researchers to imagine and bring to life a future where technology adapts to people to improve their lives—products and platforms for the current and next generation of computing, with a commitment to ethically-responsible and inclusive design. Prior to Microsoft, Grace led Product and Marketing Design at Pivot Health (originally Carrot), a digital health start-up integrating behavioral science, quantified self and human coaching to help empower people to take control of their health. Grace's passion for health and well-being was fueled over the course of her 12-year tenure at design and innovation firm IDEO, where she led the Health and Well-being practice. She holds multiple patents and was named one of Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in 2021. In addition to her professional work, Grace has taught design thinking to students of engineering, business, psychology and medicine at academic institutions that include Stanford University School of Medicine and CCA.
