RGD Book Club: 100 Things Every Designer Needs to Know About People
Virtual Thursday April 17 @ 7 PM ET100 Things Every Designer Needs to Know About People
by Susan M. Weinschenk
The book blends psychology, science research, and practical insights to help designers create more intuitive and engaging designs. By understanding how people think and act, this book offers designers actionable advice on improving print, web, app, and product design by aligning with how people think and behave.
Why this book?
If you're into science, psychology, and design, this book is a must-read! It dives into how people think, make decisions, and respond to design—way beyond just websites and apps. You'll see how UX applies to real life, from print to spatial design, and even how our senses react to different elements. Plus, the science book is beautifully laid out by a designer, making it a visually engaging read. It’s a super cool perspective on how design shapes the way we experience the world!

About the RGD Book Club
The goal of the RGD's Book Club is to foster community and connection around the love of books. In the past, the format has been focused on inviting authors to discuss their process, with discussions playing a secondary role. We are now switching things up and bringing discussions back to the forefront.
The Book Club will start at 7 PM ET for one hour. We’ll spend the first half hour sharing books and other resources we’ve been loving, and the second half will be focused on a discussion of the book. You don't need to have read the book to join the discussion (however, there may be spoilers!).
