Call for case studies for new AccessAbility website
Deadline to submit: August 15, 2025

The RGD is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of a new AccessAbility website—a digital transformation of our widely respected publication AccessAbility 2: A Practical Handbook on Accessible Graphic Design.
Developed in collaboration with Mangrove Web, the new platform will make the Handbook’s valuable insights even more accessible, discoverable and dynamic. Launching in fall 2025, the site is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and will serve as a model of accessible design in both form and function.

To help bring this new site to life, we’re inviting submissions of case studies that demonstrate accessible design by August 15, 2025

“The site we’re building with the RGD—on a pro bono basis—is designed with people and accessibility at its core. It leverages best practices in design, user experience and coding to help the RGD reach as many people as possible. We previously created a similar resource at Make-It-Accessible, which will be phased out when this new site launches. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support designers in Canada and around the world, and we see this site as a living document—one that will continue to grow with community feedback.”
Andrew Boardman RGD
In advance of the launch, we’re seeking examples across formats—websites, apps, print pieces and environmental graphics—that are accessible to the greatest number of people, to the largest extent possible, regardless of their age or ability.
Selected case studies will be:
- Featured on the new AccessAbility website
- Spotlighted in the RGD newsletter and on LinkedIn
- Eligible for a speaking opportunity at an upcoming RGD event or webinar (possibly DesignThinkers)
- Recognized with a free 1-year Affiliate Membership (for Non-Members) or DT registration (for RGD Members)
- Offered 50% off Team Membership
- Considered for use toward RGD Certification
