John Naboye Associate RGD
John is a first-generation Filipino-Canadian designer working in Calgary, Alberta. Originally from Edmonton, he earned his BDes from MacEwan University before cutting his teeth at one of the country's most respected creative shops. There, he honed his craft under respected creative and design directors, while gaining recognition at award programs like The ONE Show, Applied Arts, Communication Arts, ADCC, and Campaign Canada.
He works across art direction, motion design, and visual identities — typically from the earliest spark of a concept through to final execution. As a way to give back to the design community, he often supports emerging designers through mentoring, judging, and speaking engagements. He's currently a Senior Designer at Funday, where he continues to push ideas further, visualize campaigns, and elevate the creative work through art direction and craft-led design.
