With a passion for creating that spans nearly two decades, I am a seasoned graphic designer, photographer, and artist. My work is fuelled by an insatiable curiosity and a joyful spirit. Embracing the evolving landscape of visual and communication arts, I find fulfillment in continual learning and exploring diverse techniques to enhance my skills, including watercolour painting, embroidery and digital art. Firm in the belief that each day brings new opportunities for growth, I saturate my work with a love for colour. Through my designs and creations, I aim to not just captivate, but to enchant and spark curiosity, weaving visual narratives that resonate with the audience.

The comic book theme was undertaken because rehab professionals are known as the unsung heroes in patients’ lives. The theme connects across age groups as older audiences will have read comic books as youngsters and now they’re back in style as graphic novels. The main measurable goal was to communicate with alumni and increase engagement.

This year-long campaign to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the School of Public Health, at the University of Alberta consisted of everything from digital graphics, an animated splash page, apparel, building graphics, to event design and culminated in the production of a report to the community that was distributed to various stakeholders.

My favourite RGD memory is..

“I went to Design Thinkers in Toronto a couple of years ago and did a workshop with my friend. We were a little timid and afraid to put something on paper, and then I just slapped some ink down. Then we all got a little crazy and black ink was flying everywhere. I even have a few special spots on a favourite coat, that I will now cherish forever.”

With this annual report, we were looking to create a bold and vibrant story of the Association. With the use of colour blocking and utilizing the ARTA colour pallet, along with photos (taken by myself) and staff testimonials, we were able to create a successful report for the year.

60 Years of ARTA - Anniversary Celebration

Event design to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Alberta Retired Teachers' Association. Made to envoke the feeling of going back in time, the members were met with designs and decor that fit right into 1963. Everything from a Beatles cover band, to TV dinners (elevated of course), and a trivia gameshow of Groovy or Bummer.
