Time Tracking and Other Metrics: What Are You Missing?

About this video

Description

Many in-house creatives don’t track time or collect any metrics about their work. Is this a missed opportunity to learn where your team is spending their time and how your efficiency can improve? This webinar looks at organizations who do collect metrics and how it helps their design teams behind the scenes.

Topics covered include:

·       Why track time?

·       What other information should be collected?

·       What can we do with the data?

·       Who should see the information we collect?

Protecting time for creativity and resetting your client's expectations presented by Wendy Millard RGD

We know what it's like as an in-house designer; everyone wants their project done yesterday, and no one understands how much time you need in order to deliver a successful design: "That will only take you an hour right?" Your team complains that their work is not valued by your internal clients. What's a design manager to do? Get your team onside to track their time so you can report on metrics, capacity of the team, establish project templates and workflows that work for everyone.

With over 20 years working on the inside, She's exceptionally familiar with all the ins and outs to running a highly productive design team. Tracking Time IS NOT just About Dollars and Cents presented by Andrew Flaro

Tracking time is often considered something better left to agencies to make sure they bill their clients properly. As an In-House team, are you ready to learn what data you are missing out on by not tracking your time? Andrew will share with you the value of tracking time both from a money point of view and other uses that tracked time will have in managing your team.

Life among the number crunchers: Design metrics in a consulting environment by Christopher James Moorehead, P Eng, RGD

Working as a client-facing designer at a global accounting and consulting firm is radically different from being part of a studio or even a conventional in-house design team. At the same time, the standard performance metrics used in consulting are not necessarily an accurate measurement of the value of design. Chris will discuss how design performance can be measured, assessed and improved within a large, client-focused business environment.
