This Presentation is Disabled by Jessica Oddi

About this video

Description

Digital accessibility is a basic human right. Join Jessica Oddi in exploring how designers can support the disabled community. Breaking down stigmas (and barriers) that keep us from adapting our practices. And of course, covering web and social media practices used by the community.

About Jessica Oddi
Jess is a freelancer specializing in branding/web design, accessibility and disability representation. She loves collaborating on projects that empower marginalized communities. And has had the pleasure of working with groups such as Activate Agency, Pause and Effect and The Ford Foundation. Since graduating from the Graphic Design program at Mohawk College, Jess has built her own business over ten years. She believes in an equitable approach to working in the design industry, that values disability justice models and community care. On the side, Jess co-runs @TheDisabledLife with her sister Lianna, documenting the perks and jerks of being disabled.
