He is the author of the book Inside Paragraphs: Typographic Fundamentals. He is an illustrator and printmaker. Cyrus Highsmith
Cyrus is a type designer known for his original approach to drawing letterforms. His designs have been specified for diverse platforms including Rolling Stone, starwars.com and the Ford Motor Company. He has created custom typefaces for The Wall Street Journal, Martha Stewart Living, ESPN and Men's Health. In 2012, Font Bureau, where he is a Senior Designer, published his first book, Inside Paragraphs: Typographic Fundamentals, about which Matthew Carter wrote "There is nothing you need to understand about using type that's not in this book."
