Rainbows are beautiful but you won't see one without dark skies and heavy rain. "Mr. Dazzle” is here to show you how to look deep into your inner self, search beyond the clouds and manifest into a bright, colourful and dreamy rainbow. By embracing his Chinese immigrant background and his queerness, Zipeng has rewritten the definition of the rainbow using his bold, dazzling work filled with exuberant graphics and dynamic typography.
Zipping Zhu
Zipeng is a Chinese-born artist, designer, art director, illustrator and animator based in New York City who wants to make every day a razzle-dazzle musical. His clients include Apple, Adidas, Adobe, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix, The New York Times, The New Yorker, CNN, MTV and Samsung. He was one of the Art Directors Club Young Guns 13 winners and has been recognized as Print’s New Visual Artist. His work has been exhibited all over the world including in New York, Barcelona, Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, Beijing, at major museums and institutions. He runs his creative practice, Dazzle Studio, and gift shop, Dazzle Supply, to push dazzle to the next level.
