Lauren is a designer and hand lettering artist based in Detroit, but she'll always be a California gal at heart. She picked up hand lettering as a hobby while studying advertising at the School of Visual Arts, and over the next few years (+ thanks to the power of the Internet), leveraged a few clever passion projects into a thriving freelance business! Known for her bright colour palettes and playful letterforms, Lauren has created work for clients like Adobe, Target, Google, ATT, YouTube and TIME Magazine. She knows from experience that building a creative career can be a challenging and overwhelming endeavour, which is why she loves sharing what she learned with others. When Lauren is not working on client projects or teaching, you can find her running #HOMwork (a free weekly creative challenge she has been sending out since 2017), learning how to make her favorite foods from scratch, or finally making her way through the niche craft supplies bought last year. Lauren motto is ;Work hard, snack often.'', and so in 2023 she plans to attend culinary school to expand her creative skillset, and further explore the intersection of graphic arts and culinary arts.
