Women@Work: A Global Outlook Campaign
Presented by Donna Graffi-Smith RGD, Associate Creative Director at Deloitte Canada
Donna talks about the development of the creative for the campaign Women@Work: A Global Outlook. This campaign highlighted the unique challenges women have faced during the pandemic with work and home life and how it has impacted women’s gender equality in the workplace. She will give her tips on how to successfully collaborate with an external illustrator and animator, and how to art direct a large campaign with many moving parts.
About Donna Graffi-Smith RGD
Donna is an innovative design leader with over 16 years of experience building and transforming ideas into brand experiences. She has a proven knowledge of brand, creative strategy, communication, and management with an emphasis on client service excellence. She is currently an Associate Creative Director for the Agency at Deloitte, working with a talented team of designers all over Canada and overseas. She has been an in-house designer since she graduated from York University/Sheridan College Program in Design where she received her Bachelor of Design with Honours. You will always see her with a smile on her face. When she isn’t designing she can be found building robots with her son, playing hide and go seek, walking her dog, or singing very loudly and out of tune in her car!

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is an 80+ year old organization, and design is a new discipline. Until eight years ago, all the software and processes were designed by engineers. Join Krys as she shares how her team has overcome institutional change resistance to help this venerable organization adopt and embrace design as a critical part of mission success.
About Krys Blackwood
Krys has been designing user experiences for 25 years - from software to museum exhibits, office spaces to space missions. She is both a researcher and a designer, and totally grooves on applying design thinking in unusual contexts. After 20 years of hard time in Silicon Valley, Krys is now designing the future of mission operations with the Human Centered Design team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. She’s the lead designer for NASA’s Deep Space Network, Europa Clipper and Europa Lander missions, and she’s dying to talk to you about the interfaces where humans and robots team up to do amazing things.
About Kathleen Scott RGD
Kathleen is an award-winning designer with 15 years experience. For the past decade, she has been Creative Strategy Team Lead at Bruce Power where they deliver all things design, including a complete rebrand for the company in 2019. In 2017, they were honoured to be the design partner for RGD’s In-House Design Awards.
