Join 4 renowned Dutch designers working in the Netherlands for an exploration of what they believe makes Dutch design unique and innovative, where they draw their inspiration from and what factors influence their work. The session begins with short presentations from each panelist, followed by a moderated discussion.

Will Novosedlik

Will was trained as an artist and designer, and practiced as a designer for 15 years before switching to brand strategy. As a strategist he has created, built and innovated brands, products and services in consumer goods, technology, telecom, retail and financial services, as both a client and consultant, in Canada, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. During all of that, he has had a flourishing career as a writer, publishing somewhere near 600 articles in newspapers, magazines and trade publications in Canada and abroad, including Strategy Magazine, The Globe and Mail, the National Post, Applied Arts Magazine, Print Magazine (New York), Eye Magazine (UK), and for the years 2011-18 in MISC Magazine, published by innovation consultancy Idea Couture. Will is known for a critical perspective on the cultural and socio-economic impact of design, brand, business and innovation.

Peter Biľak

Peter works in the field of editorial, graphic, and type design. In 1999 he started Typotheque type foundry, in 2000, together with Stuart Bailey he co-founded art & design journal Dot Dot Dot, in 2012 he started Works That Work, a magazine of unexpected creativity. He collaborates with the choreographer Lukas Timulak on creation of modern dance performances, and together they started Make-Move-Think.org, a foundation for interdisciplinary artistic collaborations.

Liza Enebeis

Liza is Creative Director at Studio Dumbar, an award-winning international agency with a Dutch heritage, specializing in visual branding and motion. Liza was directly involved with all main projects of the agency including the visual identity for NGO Alzheimer Nederland, D&AD Creativity Festival, brand refresh of the van Gogh Museum and co-initiator of Demo - Design in Motion Festival. She is an MA Design graduate from the Royal College of Art, London. Before joining Studio Dumbar she worked for Pentagram London for several years. Liza is cofounder and host of Typeradio.org the first podcast station to focus on type and design with over 550 episodes giving a voice to the established and upcoming designers from all around the world.

Margot Gabel

Margot is Lead Designer at Build in Amsterdam. She has been working for 3x E-commerce Site of Year Awwwards winner Build in Amsterdam for the last 5 years as one of the lead designers. She has worked on the global redesign of Adidas.com, Ace&Tate and Suitsupply.com among others. She is currently obsessed with accessible design, created the first multi-sensory digital flagship store for Moooi and an online exhibition for Foam Museum in Amsterdam.

Sebastiaan Scheer

Head of Design at MediaMonks, Sebastiaan started out as a graphic designer in the late '90s but went on to combine his skillset with interaction design, making him an all-around digital designer. Now, with a full focus on advertising for one of the biggest digital agencies out there, he's shaping the global design landscape as we speak. On the side, he resides as a board member ofDutch Digital Design where he's on a quest to shine light on the best digital design coming out of the Netherlands.
