The Silent Internet: Accessibility and Its Role in Misinformation
virtual Thursday February 27 @ 2 pm ETThis webinar explores the concept of the "silent internet"—the areas of the digital world that remain inaccessible or misunderstood by many due to barriers in internet accessibility. It examines how limited digital inclusion and unequal internet access contribute to the spread of misinformation and exacerbate social divides. By analyzing the interplay between technology and information flow, this webinar will highlight the consequences of restricted access, both in developed and developing regions and propose strategies for creating a more inclusive and accurate digital ecosystem. Attendees will gain insights into how improved internet accessibility can combat misinformation and foster more equitable participation in the global digital landscape.
