Sean Archie Urriza RGD
I am a UX Designer and Researcher, and a Certified RGD. My favourite part of any project is the conversation before the design: sit me down with the person doing the work, let them vent about what slows them down, and I’m happy. Fixing it is the fun part.
My background is layered, and every chapter still shows up in how I work:
🛠️ The Foundation: I earned a Bachelor’s in Information Technology while studying digital arts and design at the same time, because I refused to choose between building systems and designing them. My mobile VR research was presented at Waseda University in Tokyo and published by Springer, evaluated at 4.19/5 by 179 respondents across three user groups.
☕ The Starbucks Era: nearly a decade as a Coffee Master, Barista Trainer, and Shift Supervisor. Every rush was live fieldwork in how people behave under pressure, including me.
📐 The DIRTT Chapter: as a Production Artist, I run the custom graphics pipeline end to end. When we inherited an outsourced vendor’s broken process, I ran it on purpose to feel where it hurt, interviewed people across four teams and two shifts, and rebuilt the flow with an automation script I wrote. Pre-press went from 25 to 100 print-ready files a day, and approvals now happen the same day.
On paper: Certified RGD, a Professional Diploma in UX Design (UX Design Institute, Glasgow Caledonian University), and a BrainStation UX Certificate.

The best advice I've ever received is...
““Remember, the cup is never completely full; there’s always more to discover. Stay curious, welcome every lesson, and see each new challenge as a chance to grow and become even better.””
