Carolina Soderholm RGD
Carolina Söderholm, is an award-winning creative director based in Toronto. She's the founder and principal of Design Holmen is a branding and design studio with over 26 years of global design and branding experience. She has worked in Sweden, Vancouver, New York and Toronto. Her career includes six years as a senior designer at Bruce Mau Design in Toronto. She also owned and operated the Toronto-based creative studio Field Trip & Co. Carolina’s expertise spans brand strategy and brand identity projects. She led the branding of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films and Harpo Studios, the rebrand of the Santa Monica transit system, the wayfinding and communication touch points for Fogo Island Inn. One of her notable achievements is designing the brand and wayfinding for The Bentway in Toronto, an award-winning linear park under the Gardiner that turned a hated highway into a beloved public space. In the past seven years, Carolina has contributed to multiple projects for Waterfront Toronto, including various reports, public engagement initiatives, and a public awareness campaign for The Port Lands. Design Holmen welcomes any challenge, from crafting simple identities to executing large-scale branding projects that connect and communicate with diverse audiences.
