Hey there! I’m Aysha, a Graphic Designer and Illustrator with a love for playful visual storytelling, thoughtful design, and bold colour. During my professional experience so far, I’ve worked on book covers, brand identities or supporting materials, and product illustrations for clients big and small. Taking inspiration from nature, surrounding colours, and my East African heritage, I’m drawn to work that’s expressive and purposeful. Having recently swapped London for the Canadian Rockies, I now split my time between in-house design at Big Rock Brewery and freelance projects.

Kichizi

Kichizi

I designed a custom snowboard for the 2026 Gilson Snow lineup, bringing together two unlikely worlds: African art and snow sports. Centered on the Swahili term ‘Kichizi’ (meaning "relax" or "easy"), the concept fuses bold African patterns, mask motifs, and a warm, textured colour palette to bring a fresh, vibrant aesthetic to the slopes.

For this project, I designed a cohesive brand and packaging identity for an artisan seed cracker and vegan dip lineup. The look relies on freehand illustrations and abstract natural forms to highlight the handcrafted quality and wholesome ingredients at the heart of the product.

Inspired by my experience on the Lake Minnewanka Craft Beer Voyage cruise, I redesigned this speculative VayCay Brew Co label to reflect a beer you can only enjoy on the water. The design weaves local history, the submerged town, and the Indigenous "Water of the Spirits" merperson legend into one expressive, atmospheric label.

Asaawa

Working on the identity for Ghanaian drinks brand Asaawa, I wanted to reflect core values of sweetness, generosity, and heritage. I gave the brand a sleek and modern feel by tapping into Ghanaian iconography, reimagining the star from the flag and a tribal pattern into a sharp, abstract hut design.
