Login and activation link troubleshooting

Issues with logging in? Here are some troubleshooting tips.


1. Check if you are logged in already

Check the top right of the page. Does it say "Profile" or "Member Login"? If it says "Profile," you are still logged in and activation links will not work correctly. Please click "Profile" and sign out. Then try your activation link.


2. Check the activation link for added security defense characters

Sometimes, your work email system may be on a security system that checks links and adds text before and after the link (commonly "URL Defense" or "Proofpoint"). This results in activation links becoming invalid. Use a decoder like this: https://services.unl.edu/service/email-security-proofpoint/proofpoint-url-decoder to paste the URL in your email into to clean it up and visit the link.


3. Have you visited the link many times?

If you have repeatedly clicked the link and visited it, the system may be detecting you as malicious and blocking you from accessing this. Please wait 48 hours and then ask for the the link to be resent to you.


4. Do you have the correct password?

Try resetting your password here: https://rgd.ca/reset-password
