We are looking for a designer to contribute to wayfinding and experiential graphic design projects for municipalities, hospitals, universities, museums, and mixed-use developments, with a dedicated role supporting projects in the healthcare sector.
This position is open to candidates in Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria. However, preference will be given to candidates in Calgary and Vancouver.

General responsibilities
- Perform site assessments, visitor needs assessments, and participate in engagement activities.
- Location planning and mapping for wayfinding programs.
- Design concepts for wayfinding and environmental graphics programs.
- Develop sign elevation drawings and specifications for signage outcomes.
- Create and refine message schedules and construction packages.
- Prepare, issue and present client-facing design documentation.
- Coordinate with signage production and installation vendors including review of shop drawings, attendance at site meetings, and deficiency reviews.
- Contribute significantly to the success of multiple healthcare projects, playing a central role in all aspects of project lifecycles, including needs assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation.
Ideal candidate profile
- 3+ years of experiential graphic design experience taking projects from concepts through to construction documentation.
- Degree/diploma from a recognized university or college in a design-related field, such as graphic design, industrial design, or architecture.
- Excellent sense of visual and industrial design, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to set and maintain project schedules and proactively make changes where needed.
Technical skills
- Essential: Proficient in Mac OS and G Suite tools, with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Valued: Competency in 3D rendering software, CAD, or Revit is an asset.
Compensation & benefits
- Salary: $60,000-$75,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)
- Benefits: Supplementary health and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period.
