Matrix Four is looking for an Intermediate Graphic Designer.

A boutique agency serving a full range of clients locally, throughout Canada and internationally. We work with a diverse range of brands to provide marketing strategy, packaging, print and digital communications. We are a small but agile team with a vast array of knowledge to build brands that succeed - in the market, on shelf and online.

The role

As an Intermediate Graphic Designer, you will work alongside our Creative team to develop and execute top-notch creative with the end goal to grow a brand, launch a new product or expand consumer reach through social platforms. The ability to see a project from concept, through to completion is expected. You strive to keep in touch with trends and love to explore new design concepts and avenues.

Skills & experience

Minimum of 4 years in commercial design ~ packaging experience is an asset
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); AfterEffects is an asset
UX and web design experience is an asset
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word and PowerPoint
Web design and or illustration skills, considered an asset
Portfolio demonstrating strong design principles, respecting brand guardrails, while employing strategic and creative tactics on project work
Knowledge in print production, must be competent to build print-ready files and is an expectation
Ability to interact, present and collaborate with Agency team to develop unique design approaches to a variety of Client needs
Keen sense of detail, and a desire for the perfect combination of typography, color and layout
Excellent communication skills, both within a team and Client facing
Effective time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize as needed
A positive, team forward attitude and a genuine interest in the success of our Clients and the culture of our studio

Additional details

Contract length: 12 months
Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible Language Requirement: French not required
Schedule: 8-hour shift
Day shift: Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate: London, ON N6E 1R3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience: Graphic design: 4 years (preferred)
