The Very Good Branding Workshop

Social Good Award Winner

Chapter35

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The Very Good Branding Workshop was created to give women-owned and women-led businesses greater access to branding education, strategic support and meaningful community. The event’s brand identity was designed to balance clarity, confidence, warmth and intention. Bright colours give the brand a light, refreshing energy that aligns with the event’s wellness-focused experience, while bold lettering, highlights and colour blocking emphasize storytelling, participation and interaction. The verbal identity encouraged women to slow down, reflect and reconnect with what makes their businesses distinct, reinforcing the workshop’s inside-out philosophy.

Together, the visual and verbal systems created a flexible brand that could hold strategic education, personal storytelling, photography, marketing and community within one cohesive experience. Prior to the event, the identity was applied across the website and social media to build recognition and set the tone for the experience. In person, it extended across signage, notebooks and pens, swag bags, and curated gift boxes, creating a consistent and immersive environment. Across every touchpoint, the identity felt human and grounded while reinforcing the idea that strong brands begin with clear values, beliefs, voice and story before they are expressed visually.
