VIFF 2025 Campaign
Integrated Award Winner – Branded Campaign
ZAK
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Client: Vancouver International Film Festival
The 2025 Vancouver International Film Festival campaign was created for the festival’s 44th edition, connecting local audiences with international cinema, filmmakers and ideas. The campaign needed to give the season a distinct visual presence while supporting the complexity of a major city-wide cultural event. Guided by the concept of “Spatial Bridges,” the campaign positioned cinema as a connector between people, places, cultures and perspectives. Modular 3D forms were developed into a tactile visual language of depth, colour, texture and movement, evolving the festival’s established identity into a richer campaign world.
The system was tested across large environmental graphics, theatre signage, print, digital advertising, social media, motion and information-led applications. This flexibility allowed the forms to operate as bold campaign imagery, abstract texture or supporting structure depending on the format. The final campaign gave VIFF a contemporary, artful and immediately recognizable presence throughout Vancouver. Its dimensional system created a cohesive experience across public spaces and festival communications, translating the connective power of cinema into a joyful visual language.
