Aura Women’s Wellness is a collaborative health space in the North End of Halifax where practitioners, instructors and educators offer a more holistic approach to women’s and gender-diverse health. The health center incorporates everything from pelvic floor physiotherapy to reiki, yoga, strength training and counselling services, all in a welcoming purpose-built space that feels comfortable, safe and affirming for their clients.

Women face major ebbs and flows to their health over the course of their lives, and the Aura identity celebrates these fluctuations. The custom mark is both strong and feminine, accompanied by a dynamic monogram inspired by the “Maiden, Mother, Sage” phases of womanhood, and two complimentary fonts—one gentler for listening and compassion, the other more bold and playful for advocacy. Together, they offer a versatile and sensitive platform that played out across web, clinic graphics, social and more.
Women have been long underrepresented in clinical studies, leading to a knowledge gap in women’s health. Aura strives to provide culturally competent and inclusive care to women and gender-diverse individuals, and those in historically underrepresented backgrounds with the goal to build a body of knowledge to advocate for gender equity and help address disparities in healthcare.
