Coralie Bickford Smith

Coralie is a Senior Cover Designer at Penguin Books UK, where she has created many highly acclaimed series designs. Her book illustrations include The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Odyssey, Little Women and the Sherlock Holmes series. The work she did with Penguin Classics on the clothbound series attracted worldwide attention and harks back to the golden Victorian age of bookbinding. The Casual Optimist has described her work as “among the most brilliantly stark, original, off-kilter and unsettling covers of recent memory”. Her first book, The Fox and the Star, will be published this fall.
