Vancouver Capilano University is named after Chief Joe Capilano, an important leader of the Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Nation. Like many Canadian educational institutions, ;Cap is looking to ;Indigenize the Academy. Join Judy as she describes a communication design project her second-year class has undertaken the past three years. It encourages students to increase their awareness of Indigenous issues and share their new-found knowledge with a wider audience. Judy shares some of these projects to demonstrate the importance of keeping Indigenous issues top of mind and how bright the future looks with such talented designers joining our industry.
