About This Scholarship
The Accessible Design Education Development Grant, funded by Context Creative, was created in honour of the company’s founders, Lionel Gadoury RGD Emeritus and Catherine Jevons RGD Emeritus, and reflects their long-standing commitment to accessible design and the advancement of inclusive design education.The grant is a new monetary award supporting continuing education in accessible design for RGD professional Members.
We've streamlined the application process to make it clear this grant can be used for any course that covers some aspect of accessible design.
This grant supports continuing education in the field of accessible design. It provides up to $1,500 to be used toward tuition, materials, travel or other costs. Any program/course costing less than $1,500 is still eligible, and will be covered up to the total cost of the program/course. Programs costing more than $1,500 are also eligible, but $1,500 is the maximum grant available.
Eligibility criteria
To apply, you must be a Certified RGD, Affiliate or Associate Member in good standing. Review the benefits of RGD Membership.
Proof of acceptance or enrolment in an eligible program may be required to receive the grant.

Post-award report
Recipients will be asked to complete a short reflective report (approximately 300–500 words) within 60 days of completing the funded program, describing what they learned and how they have begun or plan to apply it in their practice. With the recipient's permission, this report may be shared in RGD communications as an example for the wider community.
