We are Explorers is Perimeter Institute’s brand evolution, created to connect the complex world of theoretical physics to the thrill of discovery and exploration. The campaign’s objectives were to position Perimeter as the world’s foremost research centre for theoretical physics, to differentiate its voice from similar institutions and to be a beacon of hope and inspiration in a world where misinformation and isolationism threaten scientific discovery.
Drawing inspiration from modern explorer brands like Red Bull and Land Rover, Perimeter shifted the institutional voice from an authoritative tone to a human-centric narrative rooted in curiosity. Deliverables included Explorer profile videos of researchers and bold, dramatic imagery and updated visual assets that emphasized the wonder of our universe, from the infinitesimal to the infinite. The results speak for themselves: over 734,000 views and 21,000 hours of watch time on YouTube, plus over 780,000 social media impressions in its first year. We are Explorers, strengthened connections to key partners and audiences worldwide.
