Collision 2024 presented EY Canada with a sponsorship opportunity to reinforce its position as an innovator and disruptor within the technology sector, with the objective of differentiating the EY TMT brand and opening doors to new business among startups, founders and C-suite leaders. The campaign needed to make a bold, memorable impact across conference environments, digital platforms and social media. The design team rooted the creative concept in the language of code — using programming syntax as both a visual and conceptual device. 

The “!=” symbol, meaning “not equal to,” became a powerful motif addressing gender inequality in tech, while curly brackets representing the start and end of a conversation in Java anchored the campaign's central theme of dialogue driving progress. The resulting system of static and motion assets deployed across screens, signage, print and social effectively differentiated EY within a crowded innovation landscape, resonating with tech-literate audiences while creating an emotional entry point that reinforced the firm's human-centred approach to technology.
