Collection Canada is Canada Post’s annual collectible book, bringing together all stamps released during the year in a single volume. The publication gives each stamp issue a dedicated editorial feature that explores the subject matter and design process behind it. The defining design feature of the 2024 edition is its cover and slipcase. Built around the solar eclipse stamp, a slipcase with a circular diecut reveals the moon on the book beneath, recreating the experience of the eclipse as the book is removed. Inside, that same level of intention carries through the layouts. A shared grid and typographic system provide cohesion, while custom photography, archival material and illustrations allow each story to adopt its own visual structure, from infographic-driven spreads to layered, editorial treatments for cultural subjects. The 2024 edition was met with positive feedback from collectors, partners and honourees, who appreciated the behind-the-scenes look and the care taken to acknowledge everyone involved in creating each stamp.
