Project Description

The AGLC homepage redesign focused on improving navigation, reducing duplicated content and ensuring users could easily access high-value information such as training, licensing and online services. To achieve this, the team relied heavily on heatmaps, user recordings, internal content audits and search analytics to understand user behaviours and pain points. New modular components were designed and tested, the navigation was updated after thorough card-sorting and tree-testing exercises with internal and external stakeholders and new visual elements were incorporated, including flexible layouts, updated colours and a video hero. The redesigned homepage delivered measurable improvements, including a 10% reduction in rage clicks and increased user engagement. Early heatmap data showed users were accessing key content more efficiently, and year-over-year analytics indicated a 9% increase in active users and a 13% increase in sessions following launch.
