Banff Pride
Social Good Award Winner
Twin Studio
Canmore, Alberta, Canada
Banff Pride has grown from a 10-day festival into an organization supporting year-round 2SLGBTQ+ visibility, advocacy and community in Banff National Park. Twin Studio partnered with Banff Pride to create a new brand identity that could connect with both the local community and queer travellers, while moving beyond predictable Pride and mountain-town visuals. Through a collaborative process, Twin Studio developed a visual system that balances celebration with credibility. Custom wordmarks feature subtle rainbow-inspired arcs, while a flag-shaped logo adds a more expressive element.
A landscape-inspired colour palette grounds the brand in Banff, while layered colour bands subtly reference Pride flags and create a recognizable graphic device across applications. Vintage National Parks-inspired badges and gritty black-and-white photography add personality and texture, allowing the identity to shift seamlessly between festival programming, advocacy, merchandise and civic communications. The new brand identity and website give the organization a stronger, more recognizable presence across the Bow Valley, positioning Banff Pride as a visible and active voice for 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion in the community.
